I cant access or see my site...AGAIN

Sorry if the title seems a little strong, after all it is a free host service, but boy is it getting tireing!!!

Several times a day my site seems to disappear and I get all sorts ofdifferent errors.
Today it's been everyting from 500 to 404 to bog standard ie 'cant find' errors.

How are we supposed to create, build, update our sites if they constantly vanish? Never mind when friends/family or even customers go to visit the site!!!

I know it's free, and I know there have been major changes to the servers recently, but can anyone guess how long it will be before things are running smoothly again...as I had been recommended by others that they used to?

Please help, I am a newbie (especially to setting up a store) so it's difficult enough working out what i'm supposed to do without the server bombing as fast as i try something :crying:

Have you tried clearing your cookies if that changed anything?

CLeared the lot...temp int file, cooks, everything and then rebooted.

I can get to my space using my ftp program, even got in to my admin...momentarily, but not to my site...and no longer to my admin!

Try logging in later, I know there are some 'shortages' or 'outages' you could say that happen every so often.

Maybe try in an hour or so.

EDIT: Also try testing out the site from your desktop to test out that it works, so its perfect for when you upload it maybe. THen that wouldnt cause as much stressing.

Will do, but that wouldn't really help if I had customers going to my store!

As yet, still trying to understand it all and personalise my zen cart and add products before i'll ever try to get customers, but are the servers always this bad or is this temporary?

Using the free service whilst I try and work stuff out, but had hoped to move up to a pay service later, but not filled with confidence at the moment!

...and theres very little information coming back about why, and when it will hopefully be sorted.

As I said earlier, it takes me forever whilst i'm teaching myslef anyway, but with the constant downages it driving me nuts !

Mine says the same!!

I was maxsunglasses.x10hosting.com, is now max-sunglasses.co.cc/

Not sureif this help, but I just checked the index file in my root (due to get the Apache install message), but it is my original one, as if something on the server is pointing to the wrong account/space

I take it all in stride. If i had a nickel for every time a client got upset with us i would be rich. We work to make things run smoothly. Sometimes we find a little gremlin that makes it a little tough.
