Searching around the forums I think I'm supposed contact a higher up when I do something so stupid?

I can't believe it, but I managed to delete the public_html folder, along with all the other vital folders and files..... So now I'm out of luck.

Though I heard I can have my account terminated so I can set up another one? If so, I would like this done (That is, if I can't have those vital files restored).

My cpanel account name is: gustavus

You can contact me at my email: DaKotka@gmail.com

I'll be checking my private messages and this forum periodically, any help is appreciated.

:( Wondering if the only possible fix is for someone to terminate my account and then I make a new one?

And maybe the process can be speeded up by an Account Manager in this forum.

Thanks,

You can recreate the public_html folder. All other folders can be recreated too.

I can recreate all the files and folders in the / directory? Everything's gone.... The other threads I read recommended they get their account terminated and recreate it.... You mean I can create the little files in / as well? Don't those and their content have some sort of important affect over the website?

If I can just recreate everything a list would be great, though I'm not sure it'd be worth the hassle to remake all the folders and files and make sure they're right, rather than just terminating this account and creating a new one.

you can't PM staff though

Oh boy, you're right... I see this rule now in the stickied thread... Then for that I apologize, and don't expect a reply. But I would like some sort of help in this forum. :)
Edit:
Any assistance?

We can terminate your account and remake it, however Mike- is also right. You actually should just be able to recreate public_html, and put an index.html page in there and be set to go.

Other files which have use from there are .htaccess, and the cgi-bin folder, and the robots.txt file, anything that started _ was for frontpage extensions.

Doing it yourself is often a rewarding experience, as well as you know exactly what happened..

Your actual content will not be able to be restored even if we terminated and remade your account.

I will try to make my own files then, since the posts have been reassuring... If I find I can't do it (I should, but just in case) I will bring up this post again to have my account terminated.

Thanks for the responses, off to fix my account! :)
Edit:
Ok... Well I've tried making my own public_html folder and putting an index.html file, and later on an index.php file in there, but my URL doesn't seem to produce any result...

Since I didn't have any content in there in the first place, I really think it'd be less headache and easier if you guys could just terminate my account, and either make a new one for me, or allow me to sign up for my own so all my files can be in order, and I can know that it actually works and I'm not doing something wrong...

I sort of need the website up as soon as possible, if it was just a casual thing I would take the time to try and figure it out... But right now it'd be better if you could please terminate my account and allow me to remake it...

Get back to me through this thread, I'll be checking it quite often. :)

Thanks!

Looking over the other problems here... It looks like it isn't the issue with my whole deleting everything issue, but rather an issue on your end, which is why the apache page is the only page which will show up....

In that case, it may be a good idea for you to fix that. :) Any ETA on a fix? I know you guys are working on it looking at the posts you've been making about it.
