Hi.
1) Generally I am thinking of 2 types of CMS.
- all-in-one CMS (many features, eg WebGUI, Typo3, PostNuke)
- lite/simple CMS (fewer features, eg CMS.Link, Artiloo)
What're their pros & cons?
2) If I decide to choose on a particular CMS, and after some while (eg half year), I find that it is not my cup of tea. How can I transfer the contents under one CMs to another CMS? How to do?
In your viewpoint, do you think it is hard to make the switch?
2a) For some CMS which have (very) few features, will it be a risk to use them? For example, when I find out I need some features which my CMS doesn't offer (nor do its plug-ins or add-ons). How can I do?
2b)
I wonder if I seek help for third-party software. Surely the third-party software mentioned are not designed for that CMS (or I will consider them as plug-in / add-on and include in the above).
Can I add these third-party software to my site or that CMS?
In your viewpoint, do you think it is hard to add so?
PS:
- I read the sticky & went to some CMS websites.
- The above questions may sounds silly since I don't know much about CMS.
Sorry for my ignornace if I ask a stupid question.
