I Just bought a domain and im wondering if i did this right?

i bought a domain from namecheap.com and what i did was i added ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com in namecheap.com as custom servers. and then when i did was i went on cpanel and added a parked domain. which is the domain i bought which is www.foralltoenvy.net i am wondering did i do this right and if so how long does this take to work because i did it today at 11 am eastern and its 7:11pm eastern and when i try to go to www.foralltoenvy.net it still says that it cant find the page. i can acces the regular site which is www.fate.pcriot.com

Not sure what custom servers are.. You need to change the name servers, which changes the hosting (control) of the domain from namecheap to x10. Once you do this, then you'll change your x10 settings.

If you've bought a domain and would like to use it, complete the following steps.

Go to the Account Control Panel for your hosting account, www.x10hosting.com/account, then add in the correct details in your account information box in the ACP. Once you have done that, make sure to edit/add the proper name servers in your domain control panel at wherever you bought your domain. You can find the name servers around the forum if you use the search function. You may have to wait a minimum of 24 hours for the domain to propagate.

ok so i did what you told me i added the domain name in the personal settings i put a check where it says check if u are using your own domain name. now it says my primary domain is www.foralltoenvy.net but when i go to that site the website i created doesnt show up?i already added the nameservers on the website where i bought the domain and i bought it 24 hours ago already. my originial website when i created my website using x10hosting was www.fate.pcriot.com if you go to that site you can see my website what i want to happen is that when you go to www.foralltoenvy.net (which is the domain i bought from the other site) you acces the website www.fate.pcriot.com which is the original website i created using x10hosting.

I'm having the same problem.

I have my bought domain set up as the main domain on my account page, yet it doesn't link through when i go to it.

Maybe a DNS error. Needs the attention of an admin methinks.

I think you need the company who you bought domain off to set dns to x10,not all companies let you do it yourself I had to mail mine to do it www.kitcarland.co.uk
