The only thing that springs to mind is paFileDB. Not sure whether it'll allow members to upload files or not.
http://www.phparena.net/scripts.php?script=pafiledb is the first Google link.

I don't know if the x10hosting ToS allow a file-hosting service to be run like you might be suggesting however...

thanks, but i don't want to create file hosting , in my website members (students) may need some times to attach some files with there articles , so i want to give theme the possibility to send files to the server , & control the uploads to avoid floods & unusefule files.
about paFileDB i'll test, thanks very much any way.

I don't think your allowed to upload file managers because it disrupts the network but you may correct me if i am wrong. I believe you have a file manager within your cPanel which i hope you know how to access and if not then just type your website address in the browser and add ':2082' at the end, then you just need to login, scroll down to the file manager and there you go.

hye sohailamir52 , thanks for trying to clarifying whats i'm doing, the file manager that i'm talking about will be used by the site members (students to atach there works & manage it) , i can't give my cpanel access to all members.
the permitted files are very small size (doc , txt or zip <1Mo).

if it's not permitted , please answer me to take care of that.

thanks a lot for your interest, ( & sorry for my bad english, i'm arabic, i can speak french well :b )
