If I understand your "slang" correctly, you want to know if you could host gaming servers on x10? The answer is no. x10Hosting is for websites only.

I think I have an idea of what you are saying. But first please fix your n00bl3t language(The name me and my friends use to Identify nooby terms)

First of all, I'd just like to say this: When you make a game on the internet, the proper name to call the "game" is actually a SERVER(more about servers below), when you say "I'll make a room!", this (almost) makes me mad. Not only that, it makes you look like an idiot.

Ok, here's the deal with servers:

Server- A machine, more specifically, a computer of any sort that is connected to a network of any kind that hosts files and allows other users to connect and download content and information via FTP or any other Data transfering operations by means of Server-side and/or Client-side operations.

A server can be hosted anywhere, any time, by anyone, for any time period.

To start an internet server with Valve's Steam Games, in the steam window, simply click tools and run whichever server-setup-utility you have to. For

Half-Life and all Half-Life powered games, such as counter-Strike, opposing force, day of defeat, Team Fortress Classic, simply run the "Half Life Dedicated server" tool.
-For Source games and Half-Life 2, Run the HL2/Source Dedicated server tool.
-Other games not published by Valve may have a similar server setup.

For any other games, Like Halo PC/CE, Call of Duty 1 & 2, There should be a Dedicated Server Utility that comes on the CD, or is available to download from the Producer's or any affiliated sites.

If you need somewhere to run your game server 24/7 then there are plenty of other places, just search "game servers". Good luck finding a free one ;) .

You can say that, everyone pretty much knows it means the same thing as "making a server".

x10hosting only offers web hosting, NOT games or other programs. If you had a spare PC you could run a server yourself, but most people don't have a extra computer just laying around they could use. Best bet is to find a site that offers game server rentals, such as this one, and rent space, though it does look a bit expensive.

EDIT: The site I posted above would be only for PC gaming, I have no idea how you would go about setting up a server for a console (I have a GameCube, which = no online play).

No, you cannot do that. As Jordan stated above, x10 is for websites only, not game servers.

In a Nutshell the answer is no , x10hosting is a web-based hosting not a deacated server host. if you need a game server hosted you need to either

1. Get T1 , or Cox Cable - host it you're self
2. Pay Monthly for a hosting of a game server
3. go to Gamespot.com and get a Gold account and made countless servers [$10.00/mo]

But what you are talking about is nearly impossable You can NOT Host you're very own "XBOX,GAMECUBE,PS2" Server with out working in Microsoft , Nintendo , Sony they run there free servers on cellphone companys servers like T-Mobile , Singuler

You can only host game servers that are PC Based like "Counter-Strike, Hal-life Deathmatch, F.E.A.R, Call of Duty 2, MTA GTA SA , Battlefield 2 PC"

AS far as i know BF2MC is only console based game and it recived a 7.2 where as the pc version got 9.3+

-Hope that help you a lil

Actually on the Xbox, you CAN make your own server. On some games at least, like Counter-Strike, or Battlefield 2 (I have them both). But on some other games you can't (like Halo 2), they only let you join their existing ones.

The PS2 is the crappiest console available, there's no use in even playing games on it. And even though I hate to say it, Microsoft finally did something right.

Lol, I don't wanna start a whole arguement, but lol, Make a room..... that just sounds funny. And besides, 47% of the console playing population are comp nubsters, no offense though.

For the little while when it just came out it was ahead of its time. Considering XBOX didn't come out until like a year after PS2, I would say Sony did a pretty good job.

But alas, the tables have turned and now Sony is releasing PS3 way after XBOX360. That will put Microsoft in their place. (That's right, out of the console world and to stay in the PC world, where they belong)
