Hey all, i'm trying to build an image hosting site to enable my friends to post pics of my college fests... I know abt fantastico thingy...but which among the 3 image gallery sripts is good. R ther better scripts than the 3 in fantastico...

You can consider me intermediate in programming & scripting... so i can handle with advanced installations also... i want the frontend to be as user friendly as possible and also the graphics should b good :happysad:

Thanx in Advance ;)
Waiting for ur valuable comments...
Gautam

The TOS you agreed to when you signed up for the account specifically forbids image hosting sites. So, that being said, be careful what terminology you use when describing your site because that could get you in trouble :p

I can't speak for the staff, but what you're doing sounds alright, as long as you don't make it a public image hosting site. If you were to make it, let's say, a blog where your friends can upload a finite number of images and you make some reasonable effort to ensure people aren't using it to store images that will be hotlinked elsewhere and you're not using it like a hard drive, I think you would be okay.

That being said, I'm not too familiar with the fantastico scripts, so hopefully someone else can back me up. I just don't want to see you get banned ;)

There's nothing that says the gallery and the images need to be on the same site. You could use another site (such as ImageShack) to host the images.
