i'm new to this - ad help

i'm new to this whole website buisness but i enjoy this alot
i have been reading a few threads and they say i have to have a full website up and running with ads and all in 2 weeks
this frightens me because i have no clue on how to place the banner onto my page
could i get any help or advice!
