Hi All,
I created a new account the main domain is
www.flashmunki.x10hosting.com

shortly afterwards I purchased a domain name
www.flashmunki.co.uk
I wanted to have the .co.uk domain as my main domain so I changed the relevant DNS and name server details where I registered the domain name. I can access, upload via FTP and delete files in my account but the only way I can view any files on the live site is via this address
http://www.www.flashmunki.x10hosting.com/index.htm
:dunno:
If I go to www.flashmunki.co.uk I get the generic cPanel/Apache success page
I would really like some help
I just want the live site to be www.flashmunki.co.uk

OK, part of the reason is because you entered the domain as www.flashmunki.x10hosting.com whereas you really wanted flashmunki.x10hosting.com as that would have also added the www too.

Have you parked the flashmunki.co.uk address? or added it as a subdomain to your account? if not, that could create the issue as apache wont know where to get the files from

If you just want the site to be the domain you've bought, go to your account management panel and set the custom domain. And check if you have set the DNS nameservers to ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the help. Everything is now working.
my major mistakes were
Wrong IP for .co.uk domain. I used the one on the account page not the one on the cPanel page.
Name servers were not correct.
Account did not have the .co.uk domain entered

One thing I should add.
On the account page I add www.flashmunki.co.uk and confirm it. When it processes correctly i return to the account page but the primary domain displayed on the account management page is displayed as www.flashmunki.co
This is where the initial confusion lay for me. The link on the account page does not work because it is not the correct address even though the account has the correct data (primary domain is www.flashmonki.co.uk in the cPanel app) so I changed it - too many times - to try and get it to display the right address.

It might be worth looking into extending the display of that text field to prevent further confusion.

Thanks again for your help. This is an excellent site and service
