import text file

I created a database and I need to import text data on a table. How can I do this?

Head to phpMyAdmin through cPanel and select the appropriate database.

Then click on the IMPORT tab and upload your text file.

This is the first thing I did but it doesn't work because the text file has not sql sentences, only text to insert into my table. Beside, using Import command I can't choose the table where the text must to go.

I also tried with "load data local infile ..." command from select window... and got another error message.

Solved!!

I realized I must select the table first, and then import the text file.
