In which directory should i place my site

You've two options for choice of folder when it comes to content that you want viewable by all: the www directory or public_html...

i was :nuts: i uploaded it to home with the option selected deleted orphand files....which result in deleting these directorys how can i restore them that is how can i restore my acc to its original state

Well, all of the directories and files that you really, really need will restore themselves upon deletion. Interestingly, though, public_html does not restore itself. There is a simple fix, of course, and that involves simply clicking "New Folder" near the top left (second icon, I believe...) and naming it public_html. Then, all files located within that directory will be visible to the world.

nothing is restored i tried logging in and out but nothing happend just seeing a tmp folder.... no mail folder no www folder noyhing all gone

Yes, I know. This is why you need to create the necessary folder. Click the second icon at the top ("New Folder") and name it public_html or www...

hey what about other folders aren't they needed like mail folder and other that were present at start.....if not where will my mails go in

Well, as I said, folders like that -- at least in my short experience here at x10 -- restore themselves given time. If you'd like to speed up the process, however, you can simply follow the same steps that you did to create your public_html or www directory...
