Hey

I was trying to install the CMS for my site but I keep on getting this when I try to access the install:

Warning
: posix_getpwuid() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/pubsters/public_html/includes/cmsinit.inc on line 38

Any ideas on how to fix this? =D

As far as i'm aware no major CMS needs posix_getpwuid() enabled. Seeing as it requests information about any user on the server I don't think theres much chance of enabling it.

I have installed that CMS before, and I did not ever get that error, are you installing it from Fantastico or from FTP?

Try removing all your Drangonfly files and then installing via Fantastico. Click on the Fantastico button in cPanel.

I tried looking at fantastico, but I have no idea how to use it. Do you mind explaining it to me?

You go to fantastico, then under the section that you want something from (like CMS etc) you click on the program you want to install. In the right hand pane it'll ask you where you want to install it and usually for something like an admin username and password. It may ask for other things as well. Click on install and it will install it for you.

Woops, my mistake DragonFly CMS isn't in fantastico. Sorry about that. As far as i'm aware though, there is no reason why a CMS would need information about the user provided through posix_getpwuid(). Perhaps you could contact the developers and ask how to remove it from the code and why its there?

lol that's fine.

I asked Dragonfly CMS and they said to edit line 31 of one of the files. So I did that, but I still can't install, so I've left another msg in their forums ^.^
Edit:
Well mate, I talked to a developer from Dragonfly and we tried to replace the code, adding code, and making a new .php to test everything out.

The developer says that there is something disabling php functions. Which is a bummer. :\ Not sure what to do now. Kind of stuck >.<!

Which functions are needed? The only functions disabled on our server are those that pose security risks. Most CMS's install fine on our servers - and so I doubt there's no way around the issue. If you could get a list of which functions are required for DrangonFly CMS we may be able to come to a solution.
