Im trying to install my forums: http://thegeneralplace.exofire.net/forums/install.php

But strangely I cant get on the page but my frined can..:s whats wrong?

It's impossible that your friend can get on the page, particularly because it doesn't exist.

http://thegeneralplace.exofire.net/

If you look there, you can get a directory listing of your website. The only folders I see are cgi-bin, company, and images. A folder named forums is nowhere in sight.

Try reuploading your forum files.

I did 4-5 times....In the Public_Html I got my database and my sub-domain and it wont go to: http://thegeneralplace.exofire.net/forums/install.php

And he said he was on it...:s

By the way you have to add /forums/ dude

Now I'm able to see it - it appears as if you just added the folder a few minutes ago.

The page is showing fine for me now, I'm seeing an SMF Installer. If you cannot see it, try clearing the cache on your browser.

No, actually, I was intentionally visiting your root directory to see if the "forums" folder even existed at all. When I checked when I was typing up my previous post, the "forums" folder didn't exist, but now it does.

Im using firefox how do I clear my cache?

This is dependent on which version of Firefox you are using, but you can generally find it under the Tools -> Options dialog box under Security.

Cant find it by the way I have recent updated firefox.

By that, I'm going to assume that you mean Firefox 3.5.2.

Press Ctrl+Shift+Del and expand the Details options. Uncheck everything except Cache and press Clear Now.

How do I do that?

It depends on your operating system. If you search the forums, there's a post Admin Corey made that teaches you how to do it.

If you're using Windows, open the command prompt and type in:

ipconfig /flushdns

Ok did still cant get on the page...:(

I'm not sure how that's possible unless you did not clear your cache or flush your DNS properly. Did you try accessing the page through another browser?
