Hello all,

I'm currently installing impressCMS on my website hosted here..

However, I'm stuck in the installation process.

In the server host name area, I'm entering in "localhost" and it's returning an error that it cannot connect to the database. I know all the other details are correct, is there another server host name that I should know about?

Also, do I need a different version of php to run ImpressCMS (basically XOOPS)...? Thanks!

localhost is correct, Have you assigned the user the necessary privileges?

Yes, I have.

Perhaps its a MySQL error? Do I need added PHP priviledges to set this up?

Thank you for the response,

It's just a MySQL database.

I created it, gave it a name, created a user, assigned the user to that database. Once I enter in all the details during the impresscms installation, it keeps giving me a "Cannot connect to database" error. I've entered in everything perfectly, I figured it might've been a server side issue..

Please can you delete the MySQL user, recreate it and assign it again with all permissions? This should fix it :).
