Installing Invision Power Board Problem

I am trying to install IPB on my website, i've uploaded all of the required files. But now when i try to run the installer (root/forums/install/index.php), it shows a blank page.

I've chmodded the directory and files to the right permissions.

I've upgraded to PHP version 2 Intermediate.

What else am i doing wrong, or why doesn't it work?

It's hard to help without a specific error, the script creators suppressed error output by putting @ symbols before the functions if you're seeing a blank page.

That means one of the functions failed and outputted an error but since it has the @ you just see a white page instead of the error. Real smart of them

So in short, you'll have to seek help from the script creator and get us an error we can work with.

I've searched around the forums and found similar problems, but i've tryed the solutions members have gaven, and they do not work for me. Many members have said upgrade to PHP version 2, but that still isn't fixing the blank page.

Go there; login with the information you used when you bought IP.Board, and submit a ticket. I'm sure they'll help you get it up and running.

As Corey said; they depress the errors, so if they can find out what's causing the problem then let us know.
