Installing Wordpress

hi, can someone tell me how to add wordpress to the home page of my site

at the moment it's http://escocolumbo.org/wordpress/

i want to have the wordpress on http://escocolumbo.org

escocolumbo.org at the moment is just a domain name. what i want to do is create a wordpress website using the domain name (without the /wordpress)


how do i do this?

NOTe first go to public html and open it then press select all and press compress and save that file until your done. that will be your backup if anything fails all you have to do is delete evrything (except backup) and select backup and press uncompress. k? also if you can back ur database first, to do this find backupwizard in cPanel

here we go!

Ok, go to your core settings and change everything tht has anything to do with http://escocolumbo.org/wordpress/ to http://escocolumbo.org

if you have stuff like

http://escocolumbo.org/wordpress/avatars cut out the wordpress part so it looks like
http://escocolumbo.org/avatars

Do that then when your done with everything 100% wich shouldnt take long, like 2-5 minutes just got to file manager open the wordpress folder and select all files and folders in that directroy.

then press 'move' near the top and when you do a window will show, just cut of the wordpress part at the end and click move
