Now, I've never claimed to be a 'web designer' simply because I have a lack of knowledge and (to be honest) design ability. I would, however, like to learn more about the skills and knowledge for someone who would like to become a web designer.

So, what teaching/tutorial links are available for someone who has basic knowledge of HTML and basic/sketchy knowledge of CSS but nothing else who wants to become more knowledgeable and proficient in all things 'web designer'?

I know more knowledge of HTML and CSS are a must, as is php, but what else should we look for? As the old saying goes, knowledge is power.

hao!

the best place to learn php hmm.. I think that would be from the source http://php.net, check their docs..

about css, there quite too many I haven't figured where to go yet.. but if it is basics you ask; check http://w3schools.com (this site is really good if you're looking for web building basics, CSS, XML, server and browser scripting etc.)

but that's just me.. I'm new to these things, so those places benefit me much. If you're already in the hang of working in the web, you might find those sites unnecessary (cept PHP.net).

PEACE!
