what are yalls opinions on the teaching of "intelligent design" ?

if you ask me, this makes the united states look like an even greater laughing stock..
while many european countries are progressing with scientific discoveries, here we are disputing between creationism and evolution.. pathetic.

all science classes should be based on evolution

If everyone could agree to that, we wouldn't still be debating about it. And the theory of evolution is taught in the science classes (in all the classes I've taken at least). ID, as well, is a theory. Without new theories and debates, we will never be able to advance in our discoveries.

So what if other European nations are progressing in scientific discoveries? Are we not progressing as well? Take some time to learn about ID, you'll learn something--whether you agree with the theory or not.

Personally, I'm not a religious person and have grown up believing in evolution, but I've taken the time to learn about creationism and ID and such theories. Although I dodn't quite agree with the things I read, they help me understand the pros and cons of each theory. Broadening your horizon never seems like a bad idea--to me at least.
