intermittent access, very poor performance, site down

Free hosting... right.

"Could not connect..." seems to be the name of my site. Over the past few days I've had very sporadic access to my site, my CMS, which has made it nearly impossible to get anything done.

Is there something very bad going on w/x10Hosting, or is this par for the course? I haven't been signed up very long, but at this rate I won't be for very much longer...

What is your site URL? Are you on Stoli by any chance?

Free hosting anywhere would have intermittent issues due to server load/abuse. During most of the time, x10's servers are very fast.

Fair enough, for the price what do I expect? Well... some warning like, "your site could be down for days, but hey it's free so there" would be nice. I'm not bashing "free hosting" or x10Hosting. But is this what I should expect?

btw, I'm on lotus.

I am on Lotus too and I can vouch for it generally being quite reliable. This downtime that it seems to be experiencing today has not seemed to be the norm.

Edit: I also seems to be back up now, albeit a tad slower than usual; probably due to the httpd just restarting.
