Internal Server Error with SEF URLs?

Hey guys,
So I'm trying to enable SEF URLs for my website. I made sure everything is set to yes in SEO Settings in Global configuration and renamed htaccess.txt to .htaccess but whenever I visit a page (besides my main page) I receive an internal server error.. do any of you guys know the problem to this?
