weeee this just fuels my hate for apple
one of the most inefficient and wasteful devices in the world

creative zen's are MUCH better. 2x the space for the same cost, more batt life, and much wider range of transferring music with different filetypes

maybe if you buy an apple computer you get a mac.com addy? im not sure.. i havent seen many to tell you the truth

Just another example of a company trying to cut corners on a product to save money, thats just wrong.

It's not the storage that counts, it's that it says Apple.

Please read, how did that guy get a mac.com address!

We're sorry, but we can't find the HomePage you've requested. It's possible that:

° The address was entered incorrectly. Check your spelling and try again.

° The .Mac member of this name has either created a page and removed it or has never published a HomePage.

° There is no .Mac member of this name. If you'd like this member name for yourself, sign up for a .Mac account right now and have your own HomePage in minutes.

dharmil - You are correct - I was watching the news and they were going on about how bad the Ipod is - how that even though it is small it still is easy to break the screen or even scratch it.

I manage to find a little report about the Ipod - here is a quote from it....
Full report: http://www.pcmech.com/show/kudos/838/

For a little while, all was going well with the iPod nanos. Then complaints started pouring in. It looked like a good portion of them had screen defects. This means that a light touch will put a scratch in the screen, and leaving it in your pocket for a few days will result in making the screen look like someone took fine-grit sandpaper to it. There have also been reports of the screens cracking and shattering altogether.

Just got to give time to new products to see its reliability over time. the nano had so much hype and cool to it. Now we get to see it in action and it fails. It showed great potential but could not pass the real world test with all the hard knocks of life. :(

But I don't think you get a free site. I wonder if the site belongs to apple? It cost USD99 peryear to be a member at .mac

My point of view: if you're going to get an IPod, get an extended warranty and don't scratch it once, otherwise you'll get eff all in return, as they'll blame it on you.

Apparently the screen cracks really easy as mentioned above, and also the battery is said to wear out over one or two years, and replacement batteries are scarsely given out.

Well I you can keep on trying but you can continue to have the best product - I had no idea that the batteries died out and there was no replacemnet.
