apple stole patents from microsoft and creative (microsoft for playlist, creative for mp3 player idea). currently, theres a lawsuit going on, and i hope microsoft and creative get 99% of the royalties from these lamepod sales.

apple has to be the WORST company when it comes to hardware.. 45 dollars for a mouse that can right click? LA DEE DA. a 2000 dollar computer based on the statistics of computers built years ago that are now worth around 800 dollars. pathetic. obviously relates to the lousy price inflation of a lousy product outsourced to a foreign country where workers are paid diddly-squat, the lamepod.

also, steve jobs is a greedy @(#*$, whereas gates donates billions for aid in africa for vaccines for many diseases..

i hope apple gets eaten by a worm.

Even though i myself think apple is a pretty bad company. I do think that there iPod Video is a great deal. Really.. they charged 299.99 20gb non color ipod, and 399.00 for a 40 gig ipod photo at one point? Well the 5G Video iPod is 299.99 30gb photo and video capable, and its .43 inches thin.

Yes yes it is stupid of them to realease it almost right after the Nano. But hey.. its apple D:.

Apple is a pretty bad company overall.. but im saying that the new 5G iPod video is a wonderful exception.

Yeah... it's awesome, I have it installed on my nano, took me some time, but i got it to work, what sux about iPodLinux is that the videos drain your battery life really quick....

Microsoft are no better they have done/are doing the same thing.

As for apples hardware the processor is made by IBM when they switch to Intel based Mac's hopefuly the prices will com down, at the very least you be able to use "uncertified hardware"

Yeah... the quality of the videos on the nano is great since it's uncompressed .avi, but they take alot of memeory about of your nano. But overall it's great.

Well I have a 3rd Generation but I plan to get a 60Gb iPod.. I'm guessing those can hold a good ammount of music videos.

No, just plays uncompressed .avi, so a music video turns out to be like 250mb, also the audio and video while playing are like .05 sec off sync, but it's not that bad, But try installing your self and see if you like it!

Because you can install it on the 3rd GEN ipod to, and it plays the videos in black in white.
