Is a mailing list objectionable?

Dear All,
I am willing to set up a mailing list, which can send mails to my subscribers. But my doubt is that, in the X10hosting's terms of use, it is mentioned that if it it is found that there are scripts doing cron jobs from the site, the site will be terminated. Is the mass mailing from PHPlist objectionable, since it does cron job by automatically sending mails from the background?

I would like to use my account responsibly, strictly following X10hosting's guidelines and terms of use. Please help me!

You can't send unsolicited emails (spam). If someone opts-in to your mailing list, it's OK. You should also read some guidelines on how to create a good mailing list. Here's an example from AOL:

You are allowed to send mails to your subscribers but you are not allowed to have more than 1 cron run every 5 minutes(if you are on a FREE server).
