Is anything truely Evil?

Do you think that anything have ever be genuinely pure evil?

Aren't those that do evil things for the want of being evil really just crying out for attention, or retaliating for some wrong they have had done to them?

Isn't the definition of evil only based upon our own self imposed morals and values?

Pushing this back on topic, I think evilness and anything concerning the 'devil' depends on your religion and what you belive in. I mean, if you want to worship god and go to church, which I think is a better choice, that's fine. As for people who could be considered 'gothic' or people who worship the devil, that is their person choice.

I think the word 'evil' is over used in the world way to much. Meaning, if someone's computer screws up or something, they might call it an 'evil bastard' or something else. Which says to me that people really don't know the true meaning of 'evil'

In my opinion there are several diferent types of evil. The two major ones are the group of people who do evil things for an objective (eg: Money ; Revenge) and the group of the fanatic people (a.k.a. Psycos ; Crazy people) who do stuff for the pleasure that they get of doing evil things or even satanic things (eg: Terrorists ; Satanic Followers )

I think this all depends on what kind of evil we're talking about. If we're talking biblical, man is born evil. We as humans will always be evil as we betrayed God. As for truely evil yes the Devil is truely evil, is everything against God. Temptation and sins are truely evil. There are many things from a biblical point of view that are evil. If you look at it from non- biblical view no, because it is what we percieve and what we define as evil.

Non-biblical view-Truly, I think "evil" is just a difference in morals and beliefs, because think of it like this:
Robin Hood stole from the rich and gave to the poor, he saw this as good, and in todays society, we see it as good too, but the rich people saw this as evil, thievery.

in today's society too many things are labeled as "evil" for example, some people label tv shows as evil. A tv show is not evil for something to be evil it must be a living/consience being. A gun is not evil, the person using the gun is evil. Human beings are evil inanimate objects are labeled incorrectly. To be evil the thing must be able to make conscience decisions not play music or shoot bullets.
