If yes, I need to pick your international brains on what is, the BEST merchant account for Americans and Australians to trade with.
Here in Australia, PayPal does not offer a "Business account" for sole traders (only companies with a p/a float of $120,000.00 +)
They suggest Zen Cart and osCommerce on their Austrlian portal, for "across the borders" buying and selling.
All responders, most appreciated.
I am going to point out right here, that it is REALLY EASY to overlook something, when you are looking to make money online... you see I thought there was no problem with eccomerce on this host, because the host was recommended with a money making website offer. Just goes to show you, doesn't it?!
Really, really, really, really, really, important thing to remember, is that you are not looking for the PERFECT solution... you are looking for a FAIR solution...Remember, even a forum makes someone $$$... as does, upgrades, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc... what I feel the trick is to do... is exactly what I did with this host... sure, someone thought I was jumping blindly into what appeared, definitely to be too good to be true... (you will see what I am on about as you read on)... but in actual fact... I looked at this host's upgrade quotes... I looked at what it was going to cost to GROW... and have longetivity and build longer lasting relationships... (ofcourse, noone can exceptionally predict an owner/operator to be around by the time you do, and therefore just where the indexed pricing is going to head... but you can always, start in a better place than some other places out there!
So, that's why I have been productive in doing my homework with ecommerce software...whilst, I haven't been able to log into my cPanel for some hours to work with my website yet..
The rest of this post is in reference to my TIPS...it isn't probably for the more advanced... but who knows... you may find something of worth here to consider...I hope so!
PLEASE if you do find some value here... please don't steal my thunder... my experiences are for my own website... when I can log into the ...... thing! Okay! Cool...
Apologies for my grammar/typo... just a little overtired atm.. but couldn't resist jumping into this forum, instead of going for a nap (yes it is daylight, from where I sit...but I didn't get my beauty sleep last night (or the night before)...
TIPS of the day! or - of the night (in your case, perhaps)... I haven't been successful with earning a cent from the internet, after many, many years in a cycle of trying and giving up, trying and giving up...
However, I haven't lost $$$$$... in all the countless money grabbers out there also...
Heed the "sticky" warning at the top of this forum... please do your due dilligence... and that DOES mean, spending hours and hours...and hours...
Though, like everything, you become more efficient at it... sometimes, when I have been studying for too long.. I reach the point where I do actually just scroll to the end of the landing page aka capture pages... where you finally get the deal offer. (reminds me of gamling houses, seriiously).
Another TIP: Is not to stop there... click through to the cash cart (especially if you are dealing with an international provider... as that's where you will finally find THEIR exchange rate.. (don't forget, you can look up the exhange rate on other websites first...but when it comes to paying the provider, they add their fees on).
TIP: This is my favourite, especially for two reasons:
1) for all those tedious "make millions now sites" just selling some get rich quick scheme "business-in-abox" software - which we all should know are just rebranded products being sold by resellers and super affiliates (and some really big person at the top, that made some huge investment)...
2) for when you do come across a particularly, better than the rest you have seen, offers, that you may just be interested in...
Try this... try leaving the landing page... after a while you pick the better ones... and it seems to go hand in hand, that those operators try harder to capture you BUT do go out of their way to offer you a better deal...
So.. what happens in this case... is that you pick up an offer of purchase for a one off fee for less than $10.00 (example only) when the original offer, if you had clicked through and completed the cash cart, was $97.00 (example only).
And, if I haven't bored you to death by now... one more final tip...
I am here, right now in this forum, because after looking and looking and looking (over a period of years) and finally realising, that there IS, there is always a catch... it's either hosting, or website building, or software, or optimisation, or monetization or something... just like a "bricks and mortar" business... if you don't start out with a fist full + some cash flow and huge capital budget... or if you don't start out small and build your business up... you will cop it.
As I said, I'm here, because I found someone out there (thankyou) who showed me the way to a decent free host, with (im hoping to confirm) a decent website with a domain with zero upfront costs... and all the "right" pointers to the tools needed.
But, before you can distinguish between the ugly, the crap, the fair, the good, the better, the best and still settle for a bit less... (and most importantly, be personally comfortable with yourself and your decisions)...
you must do research (and lots of it).
There is no one perfect thing out there, that I have found yet... you go for a 2-tier... for lifetime residuals and before you know it, you are tyring to sign up your grand parents and you are sticking notices up on billboards at your local grocery store... you go for something without any residuals and you're kicking yourself up the butt...
You really just got to be doing your number crunching (testing) like I just saw a couple of you doing and you can do that without it costing you three credit cards and two jobs...
