Is it safe to delete these?

Since I got my account, I have had some folders that begin with vti_ and 2 files that are called _vti_inf.html and postinfo.html. What are they used by and is it safe to delete them?

And yes I know that my account is on the Paid server, but this has been bugging me since my account was created on the free server. And, I am sure others wonder what they are as well.

They are used by the FrontPage Extensions and if you use Frontpage, you must not remove them.

If you dont use frontpage, and you dont have any .htaccess pages you want to keep, then remove them using Frontpage Extensions in cPanel.

Otherwise, if you have .htaccess files you want ot keep (Or other forum/CMS scripts), then it would be safe to delete them manually.
