it is and its not free domains dont get much rank thats what i think and the important thing is your website if u have unique content u should be fine but u have to follow the rules

I don't think search engines pay much attention to top level domains. Meaning .com .net .org don't make a difference. co.cc is not a top level domain, it is a sub domain of .cc, so you may take a loss from being a sub-sub domain, but I don't know. Search engine algorithms are extremely complex and secretive at best. I'd sign up for google webmaster tools to track your site.

I think it's only free for 1 year though.

I prefer proper TLDs myself.

You sir, are correct. I haven't found a decent free domain yet that has both free DNS hosting and a truly free domain. Oh well. It's like $10 for 5 years of domain registration.

Oh, I just made that number up :lol:

It's really not very expensive though. A couple of dollars a year. GoDaddy is really good and they give one year free, I think.
