is the php function mail disable?

my script send and email from a consult page, it was working yesterday, but now it says:

Warning: mail() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/saranga/public_html/consulta.php on line 24

is this going to be for ever or you are working in the server and you disable it for a "security issue"?

I disabled it for a few reasons which I'm not going to state here.

It will be "re-enabled" soon, within a few days.
