Is there any point!!

I have had this "service" for a little while now, and I am beginning to wonder is their actually any point to the free web hosting.

My observations are NO!

The site spends little time up on the starka server.. The starka server seems to have less processing power than a Casio calculator from the 80's.

If the site is not down it fails to resolve and you get request timed out rubbish..

I understand that this is free web hosting but.. Anyone can offer something free if it does not work.

Apparently this hosting company when i looked into the free hosting was highly rated. That is an utter joke and really does not warrant the rating it received.

Sorry for the lengthy rant but it really is disappointing that the server is incapable of being up for longer than 10 minutes of each day.

Fed up and disappointed.

x10's service seems to only fluctuate from "poo" to "crap" to be blatantly obvious. Site useless again today managed to get to the homepage once then clicked on a link for next page and boom ...

Total waste of Internet space.

If you want hosting that badly, pay for it (whether it be here or elsewhere). Simple really.

I've been on a lot of free hosts and this has been the best for me. The other hosts either have great uptime because they disable every useful feature that might negatively affect the server, or they are down much more than X10.

Why are you bothering to make such a comment when this forum is for free hosting I believe.

All I would like is the free hosting that your provide to work more than 5% of the time. Simple Really.

It regularly fails to resolve properly and therefore does not work. Telling someone if they want it that badly pay for it, hardly resolves the fact that the starka server is not up to hosting websites in anyway.

Your answer seems to be pay for it to anyone who says anything about your "free hosting". That attitude sucks and you need to lighten up a bit or don't post.

I'll agree the free service here has been iffy lately, but there have been plenty of periods here (in my experience) where the service has been exceptional. So for me, it evens out.

The problem with free hosts in general is they are abused. People send mass spam e-mails, or write malicious scripts to freeze a server, or do other ridiculous things for no reason. And we other users get stuck with the problems as well.

The service for me has always been poor on this server. So I can't hail your optimism mate. But for a moderator to just spout pay for it if you want it I find highly unacceptable. As the service has been offered free.

I would like to see it up more often than it is down that's all.

It has been getting better recently, at least, for me it has.
