I've only experienced close combat so far, but i will have to say this game is extremely impressive.
Just imagine something like AA but with a little touch of some classic FPS games in a death match mode. I'm sure there are tons of ways to play, but from what I've seen, you get the classic 'kill everyone else' gameplay. There is also the experiece(points?) system there so you get points for winning/killing and possibly lose them for dying(?). The graphics are rather stunning. Much better than I could have expected for this free game. Now, yes, AA and HL2 would have better graphics, but setting aside the graphical beast, this game will probably not be a disappointment to your eyes.
I will say that on my laptop I have a bit of trouble with something. The weapons are never held correctly(the are off-center and angled wrong), but this is because of my crappy graphics card(thanks alot Acer and SiS). But amazingly, I can play on the highest settings. I think the game runs just as fast on the high settings as it does the low. There is just that display issue with the guns. I'll have to try turning up my video memory again and see if I can get some results.
But right now(only playing the game for a few hours at most), I would rate this an 8 / 10.
It probably deserves a bit better but I can't fully say yet. It does seem to have some nice and advanced features(I love the movement and tactical manuvers). If you haven't played it but like FPS(with a nice dab of tactical gameplay), download it. It is a relatively small file for a full game(under 500 Mb). More than likely you will like it.
