my server is: Boru.x10
and I am able to connect to the site via FTP and have copied across some files but when i try to make the config file for installation of wordpress and I am getting errors connecting to MySQL.
I have setup the databases and added users and given them permissions. I have searched here and am using the correct data eg, i type jlgager_wordpress for dbname, jlgager_admin for username and i enter my password, and then localhost for Database Host however I get an error saying Error establishing a database connection when config script tries to connect.
I believe there may be a problem with something as the same thing happens if I try to install something through softaculous or through a script manually. In an effort to determine if I could indeed connect to my databases I tried running phpMyAdmin and I get the following error when I click on that from my Control Panel
Wrong username/password. Access denied.
as this occurs when I am in my Control Panel and just click on the phpMyAdmin icon it has nothing to do with any user entered settings I am entering.No login window appears to login to phpmyadmin it just goes to the error.
Could you please advise me on this as I am in need to get my website up soon.
