Hi,
I am sorry if this is a question that has already been answered somewhere else, I can't seem to find the answer (and I have been looking for a couple of hours!). I don't have a lot of experience with programming (basically none), but for my work I need to setup a website with a JAVA client server application. I have modified an existing JAVA application for my needs and tested it locally. I am now in the process of putting it online, which seems to be the hardest part. Now I am able to get the JAVA client running, however I don't think I'm able to get the server side running. My server is not connected to any database ( I did find some post about JAVA apps and databases, and that this isn't possible in the free version). My JAVA server merely has to serve some files and then write the results in a log file. My question is whether this is possible with the free version? If so, what port should I be using for this. If not, would it be possible with the paid version?
Any help would greatly be appreciated!
P.S. Can somebody explain to me what java server pages are?
