I installed JSMF Component and configured it. When someone registers in Joomla he isn't registered in SMF and vice versa. I also use JSMF Login module. It doesn't work. And when I login in SMF I see I'm logged in Joomla but I can't use the shoutbox (it's only for registered users). When I try to enter my forum it loads only sometimes (usually I see a blank page). My website's address is ats-clan.exofire.net

Refreshing page several times when going to forum, logging in and doing something else makes it difficult to use.

When installing and configuring the bridge I did everything like it was discribed in user guide provided by the extension maker. You can download the guide here.

Any support from SMF to Joomla with the SMF bridge has been discontinued. Due to Joomla's new licensing policies they will no longer allow third party software like SMF to bridge into their software. Due to this SMF can no longer support its bridges so if you are using updated Joomla and SMF software you will not get this to work. If you arent using updated software; namely SMF you should upgrade to the latest version and then make the swithch to mambo, which is supported and bridged to SMF.

OK, I uninstalled the bridge and reinstalled SMF. You can close this thread.

After reinstalling SMF I went to Admin Panel -> Server Settings -> Core Configuration. Then I enabled Use Persistent Connection option. This option enables persistent connection to the database. After that the blank page problem happens again. So I went to the admin panel again and disabled this option and it still happens. I think I gotto reinstall it again and stay away from the persistant connection option.

See if taking the checkmark off of compressed output helps.

It still happens. I think I'll use FireBoard instead of SMF. It'll be better in some ways because I won't need a bridge.

Why not try Mambo and SMF. Mambo is almost identtical to Joomla and it bridges with SMF.

I think you're right. Mambo can be better now because of the new Joomla's licensing policies.
