The Joomla installation guide says "When you have finished uploading the files and folders", and unless I'm missing something, it doesn't go into detail about where or how to upload to a remote location, except to say that you need to use an FTP uploader.

I installed XAMPP to use my machine as a local server, and in fact followed the installation guide for that part, and "practiced" using Joomla that way.

I downloaded Joomla and extracted the .zip files to my XAMPP folder as shown in the installation guide. But now I want to install the Joomla package on x10 and do the "real" thing.

So how do I do that?

Specifically, what folder (public_html, for example?) would I upload it to?

Is the "Upload" function in File Manager sufficient to do that, or do I have to use an FTP uploader? (I have "FileZilla", but have never used it).

Would I upload the .zip package and then extract it to another folder?

And then how do I use it to manipulate my index.html file?

If any of these questions are answered in the installation guide, I missed the answers. If they are, then I'll gladly go back and read it again if some one will point me to the appropriate sections.

you just go to file manager and upload .zip file in file manager there is an option of extract so extract your files to public_html or where you want!!!!
then open browser and type:

http://yourdomain.com

if files are in public_html

now installation process will start follow the instruction and install it

enjoy!!!

if you can`t understand any thing just tell me
