Hi Joandajer

I have posted a reply to you in this thread : http://x10hosting.com/showthread.php?t=13812

If you are still having issues changing the CHMOD of the folders/files to 777, let me know.

It is not recommanded to leave the configuration.php file in CHMOD 777. once you modify your site configuration, set it back to unwriteble ( in Joomla Admin).

To change the CHMOD of folders/files to 777 , here are the steps:
  • Login to Cpanel.
  • Click on File Manager
  • Click on the folder public_html Folder ( click on the Icon, not the Link)
  • Click on you Joomla Folder (if it is a subfolder)
  • Click on the Name of the folder/file you want to change permission
  • Click on Change Permissions ( it is on the Right Frame)
  • If you check all the boxes, it get set to CHMOD 777
  • et voila!
Regards.

Or, you can do that through ftp, which is much quicker. You should then have no problems.
