Hello, I searched on this topic, and found many similar ones, but they never show the solution. Usually an Admin responds and says to try again and it works for the original poster. I have upgraded my php to intermediate and waited a day before trying again, but I still get this "Session Save Path" Unwritable - Not Set.

I have created a tmp folder with 755 permission in both the www directory and in the installation directory to no avail. It doesn't say to use "tmp" but in the other threads, that was what other people were using.

Please help,
Thanks

Is the option needed to run Joomla? If not just skip it thats what I did.

From what I read, the admin panel won't work without it, and I am thinking I will need that. This is my first time using Joomla! so I could be wrong.

Thanks again,

Well mate its not a necessity.
If you are 1st timer, then i suggest you to go to cpanel then fantastico and then install joomla, it would be a breeze.
Dont worry about writing issues.
