Hello guys , i did try to install Joomla at the main dirctory from fantasico , its gave me that message

- You chose to install in the main directory of the domain youthworld.exofire.net, but there are conflicting filenames, therefore we can not proceed. Following filenames already exist in the main directory of the domain youthworld.exofire.net (path="/home/tornado/public_html/").You must manually remove these files before proceeding with auto-installation:
templates

What exactly i will remove?

If you want to install from 0, I mean to start a new website, you should make sure you only have this in your public_html:
Folders:
_private
_vti_bin
_vti_cnf
_vti_log
_vti_pvt
_vti_txt
cgi-bin
images
Files:
.htaccess
_vti_inf.html
postinfo.html

Those Folders/Files are the one that came when you just create your account.

Then leave it and just move the templates folder out and see what happens.

Installing a recipe module

Hi

I am quite new to Joomla, which I find quite to custmoize compared to Drupal CMS.
I want to install that recipe module Joomla! Extensions Directory - Ricettario 1.03

After downloading it - I tried installing it by going to Admin ... Installers => Modules

But when I tried to upload it unzipped I got errors. When unzipped there many files & I couldnt see which is the right one.

In Drupal, I would simply ftp the unzipped module files to the Modules folder, then go to Admin => Modules & enable it there as one can seethen see it there, & if any configuration is needed, go to the recipe module settings

Could some one help me out? Just in case a look at the module file would help, it could be downloaded here Projects > Ricettario > Files > Browse Frs Package

I am NEW to Joomla & have turned my back on it in the past because of difficulties in understanding how some things function. It would be good to get some specific instructions.

I actually have further questions regarding some basic configuration.

Regards

Don't unzip the file. Just goto Admin ... Installers => Modules and click browse and the click on the ZIP file.

Don't unzip the file. Just goto Admin ... Installers => Modules and click browse and the click on the ZIP file.

That's exactly what I did last time (tried uploading zipped as well) and after reading your suggestion & get this error message:

Upload module - Failed XML setup file is not for a "module".
when I try to install http://joomlacode.org/gf/download/frsrelease/3500/7987/com_ricettario_1.03_stable_multilanguage.zip

What can I do differently?

Regards
