It honestly sucks to know how other people who people who are just jackasses ruin it for other people. I don't really want to offend anyone here that may have done, knows someone has commit a crime due to violent games, but seriously. Why ruin stuff for other people?

Everyone should be able to have fun in any way shape or form they want, IF and only IF their acts don't get in other people's way.

Well, it really sucks for you. Hmm. I seem to not have a solution for that. I guess you'll have to wait another year to have fun.

wait.. but... if you read it..

"A federal judge has agreed to temporarily block a new California law banning the sale or rental of violent video games to minors."

two negatives are equal to a positive
so blocking a ban would be the same thing as enabling or letting

so based on that statement, doesnt it mean that the judge agreed to allow the sale / rental of violent video games to minors?

if anything you all should be happy you dont have to be a certain age to get a game..?

I personally feel its stupid. Can video games affect teenagers/kids? Yes. I mean, does it mean that if you play Resident Evil, you'll wanna go out and create a deadly virus that will change ones body cells so that they become a flesh eating zombie, just so they can shoot them? No.

However, (yes, a however, oh no :-O)
I think it can have some sort of role on ones attitude. I personally used to be the biggest Final Fantasy VII nut ever. Sephiroth was teh awsome. His cold, calm attitude kicked ass. I found myself acting like him. Yes, I was a really geeky guy.

But really thinking about it, maybe they can influence you at times. I mean, I love teh Rainbow Six games. After playing and defeating RB6 Lockdown, I have contemplated joining the army as a sniper.
Inspirations. Hmm, maybe it can influence you. To go out and shoot a bunch of people? Most likely not. But still, if it can influence some people to wanna join the army, why can't it influence someone to go out and join a gang or steal a car?

Personally, I think the GTA games are ****. I think its garbage. I mean sure, if there is a part of you somewhere in the back of your head that likes the feeling of being chased by the cops cuz' you stole a car, then sure, I would much rather prefer you to play GTA and get it out of your system, then come into my town, steal a car, and go out on a full rampage to the point where tanks are after you. (Nice run on sentance, aye?)

So yeah, maybe this post doesn't make any sense. Maybe I'll delete it.
I guess my feeling is mixed.

Lol, basically why I play GTA still. It's gotten old now and no one really plays it anymore other than to get something out of their system. Like when I am sitting in math class and I have the biggest urge to do some cop killing and car stealing ownage, I usually go home sick and play some GTA. The game was cool when it came out, after a while (after you've done everything once) there's no point in actually playing the game other than to mess around with the cops and stuff. :hsdance:

You going to get the new GTA: Liberty city?
Civilr you done the same thing I did I use to go round with the cheats and getting all the guns and shooting every one ( and killing the coppers from sniper angles, I use to play my ps2 but it got boring so I moved to the computer. :)

But for this ban thingy that the US have come up its kinda equal in a person going out killing some one after playing extremely violent GAMES, really its a matter if you have a brain, lol.:ughdance:

lol its not going to happen because, #1 they can't really enforce it, #2 so many people will sue for public discrimination #3 studies show that since video games, their has actually been less violence, due to more kids staying inside playing the video games, than those out doing drugs, and robbing stores #4 the game companies wont allow it, the game companies will fight for themselves, and us at the same time (Actually we will be used like puppets so the gaming corporations can keep making money) so really they are using us, not fighting for us, but in this case, im all for it!
