Just Use Email?

Hello, I currently own a paid VPS through DigitalOcean but it has been very hard to try to set up email on the VPS. Does anyone know how I could use my X10 account JUST for email and use the same domain?

That would be against the terms of service. Your Free Hosting account is provided for use as a web site; e-mail functionality is only there at all because the website hosting services would be too limited without it.
