Well I have got to say, apple has some amazing programs. I ma a windows person but apples iWork and iLife just crush windows.

WHat do you like better, Keynote or PowerPoint?

Its a bit tought. PowerPoint 07 has some greta new features but Keynote looks and seems more proffessional.

I think I will take Keynote.

The only one of those I have ever used is PowerPoint, and I'd probably prefer to use OpenOffice instead of that. The only time I use PowerPoint is at school, to do required assignments in CBA (Computer Business Applications) which is a class you're required to take to graduate.

Keynote and PowerPoint don't run natively in GNU/Linux; OpenOffice does. That would be a major reason for me to choose OO instead of either of the other applications. Another reason is because OpenOffice is free. I'm sure PowerPoint runs using Wine but I wouldn't want to to pay money for an application that doesn't even run on my OS natively.

Keynote. I used it once (in Grade 6), and the visual effects and the general appearance were by far much better than PowerPoint's (they still are).

PowerPoint has improved though--I used it quite recently in a presentation and it looked amazing. The visual effects are still far to be desired.

So, it's your pick: Choose a program that, in the right hands, can create excellent presentations (or crappy presentations), or choose an aesthetically superior, visually-oriented program.

I pick Keynote whenever I can.

But remember: even with Keynote, you can create a mind-numbingly dull presentation if everything in the presentation is restating what you just said. Keynote just makes it look nicer.

Never used Keynote, but based on personal experience PowerPoint is terrible. It needs much more improvement. Based on the screenshots I see, I think I would probably prefer Keynote.
