learning AS3

does anybody know a good place to learn actionscript 3

I have already tried Adobe but its kinda boring to sift through all that text

Those are the best that I've found.

Do you know AS2 REALLY well?
It's similar, just think more OO.

AS3 is far different to number 2. Alot harder in fact.
Theyve intoduced the "var" and you must use it all the time.
"on(event)" has been taken out

Well in my opinion it is similar. On the other hand I have seen loads of really obscure programming languages, so maybe what's my 'similar' is not somebody else's.
A few syntax changes for me is not a big thing. And I don't think certain languages are 'harder', just different, perhaps taking longer time to learn, perhaps better suited for certain applications, but not 'harder'.
