As many Nintendo fans know, the release date of the newest installation of the Zelda series has been delayed to the fall of 2006... originally it was supposed to be released about a month ago.

All I can say is it better be good, but I know it will -- developers promise this to be the "best" Zelda yet, even better than Ocarina of Time (to many, the all-time overall best 3D zelda game).

I was worried that the game would only be released on Nintendo's new Wii console, but fortunately Nintendo has announced that Twilight Princess shall indeed have two versions, one for the GameCube and one for the Wii (naturally it is suspected that the Wii's will be their main concern).

Here are some screen shots, videos, reviews, and previews on IGN:
GCN version: http://cube.ign.com/objects/572/572738.html
Wii version: http://revolution.ign.com/objects/748/748589.html

Anyone else looking forward to this game as much as me?

EDIT: 3/4 of the way to 1000 posts!

its a good looking game, however i would hate to be the loser who has to wave that nunchuck of a controller to launch hookshot or arrows or whatever

ocarina of time will still be the best game in the history of zelda

as for me im saving my money for an xbox 360.. halo 3!

Yeah I wouldn't want to use the Wii controller with Zelda, I'm not buying a Wii, luckily Nintendo is releasing a GCN version of TP (hehe).
