Just a minor addon to what Zenax said.
Theres usually no downtime for the maintainence, which NORMALLY only involves terminating suspended accounts that have been suspended for 10 days, and marking inactive accounts as suspended.
However, MySQL was having some major problems, which later ended up manifesting as a hard drive failure.
We do apologize for the downtime, however it's rather difficult to plan on having a backup MySQL drive blow up. Again - normally x10 doesn't have downtime for the maintainence because it runs along-side the server.
