Less sever 'offline' time

I just noticed that the servers are offline most of the time.


Any way to fix this?

Ok, judging by your post count you a relatively new here. For a start, you should have a look in the news and annoucement sections. Everything you need to know about the "CURRENT" maintenance is posted there.

Just a minor addon to what Zenax said.

Theres usually no downtime for the maintainence, which NORMALLY only involves terminating suspended accounts that have been suspended for 10 days, and marking inactive accounts as suspended.


However, MySQL was having some major problems, which later ended up manifesting as a hard drive failure.


We do apologize for the downtime, however it's rather difficult to plan on having a backup MySQL drive blow up. Again - normally x10 doesn't have downtime for the maintainence because it runs along-side the server.

Yeah, however as the older ones know.. x10 is usually fairly stable, and runs smooth. But, the last 2 weeks or so have gotten to us. Please be patient.

Yes, I happen to be a software developer (check my site) and I really depend on less server downtime, for the face of the developer (Vetra Games)

And, ironically, I've been here since november 07. So I'm not too new here, and I post rarely.


Thank you for the MySQL explanation. That fixes it. All that happened was that I was worried because x10 is an exellent host.
