Level server slow?

Hi i have been using x10hosting from a very longtime for various projects of mine and i am really amazed with the service they provide.

For my recent project i signed up for free hosting hoping to upgrade once everything was in place. its been around a month and most of it was spent on testing and fixing things. Now around 4 days back i felt comfortable enough to take the site online. So i started with a fresh install and the problems stated since then.

When i was in a testing phase all my zips extracted in a jiffy, all WordPress plugins installed fine, everything worked perfectly and now since last 4 days a single 17 Mb zip extraction well to be frank i have never seen it complete. a 4 Mb basic WordPress extraction takes ages. Even plugins from online repository don't install due to some "tmp" directory problem. Which i managed to rectify by making some changes to "wp-config". Still plugins take ages to install.

Can somebody explain what is going on. I am loosing precious time.

That has happened to me before. What happened was, when I saved a file it took a long time to save, the loading bar never went to complete or saved. But when I refreshed the page it was already saved. So, try extracting it, then just wait for A minuted, then refresh the page. After that, check that all of your files are there. This problem occurred on my previous account and that was also on the LEVEL server.

Hi thanks for trying to help out, but its not the same problem as you mentioned. What i am facing is kind of an overloaded server. I am facing really slow zip extraction. my WordPress 3.6 wont extract from a 4 MB zip file. I had no other choice then to FTP the whole package. I managed to do that and install WordPress. But then again when i went to install plugins they refuse to install. Most basic of plugins take ages to install because they are not extracting.

Update: Managed to resolve the problem. I think it was specific to my account. I have put in a request for the deletion of this account and signed up under a new one. everything is working fine there, no issues. Thanks for the assist.
