I saw someone posted an inquiry about the GD library. I also need this one, but for Perl. For some reason it wouldn't let me reply to his post.

I searched this forum and found this interesting topic:
http://forums.x10hosting.com/free-hosting/25511-installing-perl-modules.html
However in my Control Panel I get this error:
Your admin has not created a cPAddons configuration yet. Please contact them and ask them to do so.

The following modules are ones that I know I'll need:
  • GD
  • MD5
  • WWW
  • DBI
  • CGI

Right now I'm getting an error:
Software error:
Can't locate object method "new" via package "CGI::Session" (perhaps you forgot to load "CGI::Session"?) at ./Code/Login.pl line 152.

This is bad because I can't log in to the forum to change the settings using the GUI. And at the moment I don't want to bother with sifting through code.

Is there a way for users to install modules to their accounts or does this have to be done by the admin?

Thanks,
vol7ron (still new to x10)

You can't reply to posts in Support, due to Corey disabling this ( and posted / talked about in an x10 update thread in News & Announcements ) ... CpAddon is no longer used, and most software that was in there is now in Fantastico.

When did you upgrade your Intermediate PHP? It can take 6 to 24 hrs once you get your approval e-mail for the update to occur, even if it states you have it in your AMP.

Oh, I was unaware, I apologize. Does that mean we cannot add certain modules manually?

Unfortunately, I cannot check my email account to see what the message specifically stated as my email host does not support IMAP - POP accounts are beginning to bug me. However, I requested this sometime mid-day yesterday and I'm pretty sure I got the okay last night.

--- btw ---
Thanks for your quick response.

Thats correct. Modules would have to be added by Bryon or Corey.

Is the formal way to request those 5 modules through the forums?
