How do i link my forum account to my hosting account?

Where it says please enter your cpanel username, i have no idea what to do. I have a x10 hosting username and password, and a forum username and password.

What is the Cpanel? How do i get to it? Do i need to register for a Cpanel account?

I'm fed up its been 48 hours now, i've got nowhere.

If anyone has got MSN or windows Live messenger, then say, so we can chat in real time and fix this.

and see if your cpanel name is the right one, if not click where it say:
Relink cPanel

There you can put your email.

Thanks i think i'm starting to get somewhere.

But when i click your link, i get up to:

I dont know what the cpanel is, what do i do?
I just enetered my forum name, i guess this is wrong?

Most likely the cPanel user name is the one you use to login on the homepage of x10hosting.com
Like on the picture, then go to the cPanel URL and at Preferences > Update contact info you may put your email.

ahh, on the same page http://x10hosting.com/account you can fill your "Account details" and put the right email.

To access your cPanel, type the following in your webbrowser:

http://yoursite.domainyoupicked.com:2082

That will bring you to your cPanel login screen. Login using whatever username and password you picked (I think it's the same one to log into your page on x10hosting.com/accounts).

After some time, I finally managed to link my hosting account to forum account.
But now I need to upload my html files to the website, based on the posts above, I went to
http://yoursite.10hosting.com:2082
and
ftp.yoursite.10hosting.com


But after entering my username and password, it said invalid username and password
although I already activated my account.

What should I do now? Can anyone pls help.

change http://[B]yoursite[/B].10hosting.com:2082 with your cPanel login name. i.e. http://rpope904.x10hosting.com:2082

x10hosting.com, dont forget the x at the beggining

also, you sure you picked x10hosting and no some of the others domain names?

anyway if you aren't really sure if you are using the right info at cpanel you can go to:
at files > FTP accounts > (ur user name) Configure FTP client
and you'll get the right info and you can even download registry entries for the most popular ftp clients

If you have your confirmation email it has all this information in & the login details you use at x10hosting.com/account are the same as your forum account by the way.
