I recieved the mx5000(logitech) and thought it was like a dream. I had everything working. But way back something happened and I had to remove the logitech software- losing some features of the keyboard and mouse. but then recently I went to the logitech forums, and saw that alot of people had been complaining about the mx5000. About a week ago I reinstalled the software and everything was working fine. Until I rebooted that is. I could get the mouse to connect but not the keyboard. So I was on the forums and saw a suggestion of uninstalling the software and using the keyboard and mouse just was wireless and not blue-tooth. Sure enough it worked. Now I have always liked logitech, but after this problem and seeing that they have not responded to the complaints on their forum, I'm pretty pissed off at them. So what I want to know is do you like Logitech?

See the complaints http://forums.logitech.com/logitech/board?board.id=bluetooth

Don't care; I don't care about the brand of any peripheral device, unless of course the peripheral is an external hard drive or printer. But when it comes to mice, any sort of no name $5 optical mouse is fine.

A long time ago I tried installing their mouse drivers for my (basic) Logitech mouse. And what did it do? It rendered the middle mouse button on my mouse nearly useless. I consequently uninstalled the drivers.

Id have to say i like them. but you have to know how to use/debug them first.(took me awhile to figure it all out) :S
I have the mx1000 laser mouse with the G15 Keyboard and it works like i dream. :)
I found most of the problems occur when both you Keyboard and Mouse are wireless with Logitech. If for some reason you have to (as you said) uninstall or lose some of your drivers for either you pretty much have to start the installation from scratch. Depending on the Models you might even have to edit your registry to remove all reference of the drivers for them to reinstall them.

I've been using Logitech for awhile now and nothing ever happened it. I'd have to say its a pretty reliable brand considering almost 80% of my peripherals are Logitech brand.

Ive never had a problem with any logitech devices. My USB optical mouse has lasted me for years. If you have had problems could you not just send the faulty device back to logitech under warranty?

I personally don't have any problems with them, but then again I've only used a couple of their products. I usually don't research things of this sort, but rather more pressing computer issues I may be going through, but due to not having any prior problems, I like logitech :)

Logitech is the only brand of joystick maker I know, and seeing as I like combat flight sims, I tend to find a joystick rather helpful, this is usually due to being able to move and not get my **** shot into little tiny pieces. I have the most recent version of it, and I like it. However, like most companies, they made a bullsup of that model refered to in this thread. I like them best because I have no choice...

Unless someone starts giving away free joysticks, in which case, I have first dibs on em!

I've had a Logitech headset for upwards of 4 years now, still working fine - so they're good in my book.
