Just one thing. I suggest that you put your shoutbox on the index page instead of having a popup for it. People do use popup blockers.

Overall the forum looks pretty cool, I just think that the threads should be grouped differently. For example: entertainment (games, music, movie, etc), artistic (fanfiction, graphics, etc.) that sort of thing. I noticed that you already do have threads and groups figured out pretty precisely, but I just thought it was a pretty big jump to go from computer games into reading material. Aside from that... perhaps move the updates to second highest under the rules so it's more noticeable?
