I'm wondering about how often there are major problems with the servers that result in outages as long as this one with the Lotus server.

I have a site with very low traffic, and thus cannot justify the cost for a monthly professional hosting service.

For the last 3 years I have used atspace.com but have grown tired of their terrible speeds and frequent downtime. However they never seemed to be down for more than about 10 minutes. I believe this Lotus issue has been about 6 hours.

While I understand that this is a free service, and there will be some downtime, isn't this a bit excessive? This is only second day on this hosting site, and I have migrated my entire website over here, and it simply doesn't work.

I'm tempted to just go back to atspace.com or try out Freehostia if this is the norm.

I don't want to sound like a jerk, but just as the techs on this hosting site have responsibilities, so do I, and they're not being met with the 6 hour downtime of the Lotus server.

Even a quick shout from someone with x10 on this forum of the Server alerts forum letting us know what the issue is and an ETA on it being back online would be greatly appreciated. I know personally I would quickly forgive an extended downtime due to an issue like this if we were just kept in the loop. There seems to be no information from x10 on these forums as to what the issue is, and if it's even being fixed.

Please just let us know.
