Magic quotes disabled

Hey,

I logged into the Joomla Admin Panel and i get This Message (below)

Following PHP Server Settings are not optimal for Security and it is recommended to change them:

• PHP magic_quotes_gpc setting is `OFF` instead of `ON`

Then made a file to check Joomla is correct and i get "Magic quotes are disabled" is there a way i can have it enabled?

Magic_quotes_gpc is enabled for PHP versions 1 and 2. It is disabled for v3 only. Many people request it disable, so it has been disabled for v3.
